Capt Satyendra Vaidya


Capt Satyendra Vaidya an Indian Navy veteran and a qualified helicopter pilot. He has been working in the field of solid waste management and sustainability since 2012. Post his tour of duty in the Indian Navy he has been pursuing integrated waste management projects, sustainability reporting and plastic waste management.

He has undertaken various projects in Armed Forces establishments, notable amongst them being the one at Military Station Udhampur and National Defence Academy, Pune. He also conducted a study on collection and disposal of plastic waste in Leh, Ladakh.

He is mentor for startups in the sustainability sector at T-Hub, Hyderabad, and a guest lecturer at College of Engineering Technology (COET), Pune Vidyarthi Gruh, Pune. He is a member of the Global Partnership on Marine Litter, Prevent Waste Alliance, MSME-CII, and the International Council for Circular Economy.He is a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional and also qualified for reporting with the Indian BRSR Framework.

A graduate of the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad), and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Tamil Nadu, he is a qualified Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt practitioner and an Aviation Safety and Accident Investigator.
